The Baltimore County Police Foundation was formed in 1979 as a private, business-sponsored, non-profit organization dedicated to improving the quality of police service in the County, and strengthening the relationship between police and the business community.
The Foundation recognizes the vital contribution the Police Department makes to the well-being and quality of life enjoyed by individuals and businesses in the County. We believe a strong business/police partnership provides the impetus for the Police Department to achieve and maintain excellence.

Through the contributions of our Member Organizations, as well as the support of the business community and our citizen contributors, the Foundation continues to fulfill its mission to provide Guidance, Resources and Recognition to the members of the Baltimore County Police Department.
Since 2006, the Foundation has provided over $512,000 in grants for training and equipment.
